Having fun reading
Family Literacy Day
Toddlers, preschoolers and parents enjoyed a morning of book reading and sing-along stories at East Plains Co-op Preschool to participate in Canada's Family Literacy Day. Parents shared names of books their children love to read, had a reading sing-along, read a Robert Munch book, in honour of the Family Literacy Chair and took part in a children's literacy raffle.
Every year on January 27th, families across Canada are encouraged to have fun reading together with their children, in order to help them strengthen their interests in lifelong literacy.
