People gathered at the Central Park Labyrinth as part of the Global Healing Response for the Haiti Earthquake victims

Global Healing Response: Haiti

The Central Park Labyrinth on Friday, January 22nd, was one of many locations throughout the world where people came to walk in prayer and peace for the people in Haiti. Labyrinth facilitators around the world hosted the labyrinth walks as an opportunity to provide healing for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. Events were planned throughout Canada, South Africa, Japan, Bahamas, United States and the Netherlands.

Labyrinths have existed for thousands of years. It is an ancient geometric pattern that leads into the centre and back out and have been used for prayer, meditation, to celebrate, grieve and for health benefits.

Located on Guelph Line the Central Park Labyrinth is one of the first in a public space and one of the first wheelchair accessible labyrinths in Canada. For more information visit www.burlington.ca or take some time, slow down, relax and enjoy the benefits by visiting the labyrinth.
