Valentines for Veterans

Now in its fourth year, this year’s Valentines for Vets initiative brought in over 3000 valentines. The valentines were created by elementary students from the Halton Catholic School Board including St. Christopher, St. Elizabeth Seton, Canadian Martyrs, Guardian Angels and St. Catherine of Alexandria with 100% participation as part of the Knights Columbus “To Be A Patriot” program.

The valentines filled the mail room, where they were boxed for delivery to Charlottetown, P.E.I. courtesy of Purolator. Once the valentines reach their destination at Veterans Affairs Canada, they will be sorted and distributed to veterans in nursing homes and care facilities across Canada.

Good work to all of the students!
