2010 Manulife Walk For Memories

The Manulife Walk For Memories is the largest fundraising event for the Alzheimer Societies in Ontario. The Walk events, hosted by Alzheimer Society Chapters in over 56 communities, are dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds for vital programs and services that support people living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. On January 31st the Burlington Mall was the location in our community for the 2010 Manulife Walk for Memories.

With an estimated 185,000 Ontarians living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, the Manulife Walk For Memories plays a critical role in supporting individuals and their families facing this disease. In 2009, more than 38,000 people will have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
