2008 May > Circle of Life Walk
The Circle of Life Walk is a short distance “walk-a-thon” held inside Burlington Mall to allow as many people as possible to participate. Leading up to the walk the participants collect paid pledges. A predetermined route is mapped out and participants walk for about 30 minutes. The registration area hosted an assortment of refreshments and activities provided by the Nelson High School Interact Club. The teens “lightened” the atmosphere by supporting hospice family members and children by hosting face painting, an open mural for colouring, t-shirt decorating and a wonderful magician who entertained all who attended.
