It’s A Small World--Seniors Sharing Being Seniors In Many Cultures

The Burlington chapter of Seniors and Law-Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) in conjunction with the Halton Regional Police Service, Halton Multicultural Council and Burlington Seniors Centre, proudly launched its Diversity Project at the Burlington Seniors Centre, 2285 New Street. A New Horizons Senior Federal Grant has made possible the translation of S.A.L.T.'s brochures and educational seminars into the 5 most prevalent languages spoken in Halton other than English (Chinese, Spanish, Punjabi, Urdu and Arabic). The FREE celebration included cultural ambassadors in traditional dress, food, music, entertainment and door prizes.
